Sesquicentenary

Wiktionary.org defines sesquicentenary as:

A 150 year anniversary

sesqui- (“‘one and a half’”) +‎ centenary (“‘100 year anniversary’”)

Plural = sesquicentenaries

In 2010 the Boroondara Libraries celebrate 150 years of public library service in the municipality.

The first public libraries in Boroondara opened in 1860 in Hawthorn & Kew.

To celebrate the anniversary we will be running a range of activities over the coming year.
